I only shoved vision onto four mainly cause you know i'm not a huge fan of splatters everywhere. Amy Winehouse was not my favorite artist of all time, but she had talent - and this is what a good artist does - pays tribute by doing something good. I'm quite jealous of the quality of this! The realism just suprises me in the sense that it almost seems as if she's moving across the page. I've never been able to pull photo realism like this - and i am just so in awe of the people who are able to do things like this.
Another one that was done rather splendidly. It is not over the top with just enough detail and make sure you know how it is and yet is not super real. The hair seems to have a dark mass or splotch in the middle of where which i think detracts form the over all ascetic value of the work. The highlights on the nose blends too much into the background making it feel as tho half the nose is missing. Over all its a fantastic piece with great momentum and feelings, just makes you happy to see and want to rock out.
OK here you go: "Amy Winehouse had an amazing soul and so many feelings to express with her music. I named this portrait after her famous song "Back To Black", which I found deeply beautiful from the very first time I heard it. The news of her death left me so stunned and so sad that the only thing I could do is to draw her, as a personal tribute. She was a great singer, she left us too soon...but she will always live in our hearts."
could you please add also my Facebook page link? [link] Thank you!
Bravo, This is amazingly beautiful!!!! I like the mixture of black/white + colorful tones <3 Classic & Modern at the same time.. Charismatic and inner beauty reflected on her unique, passionate looks. Amy was a really telented artist. Too bad she died..
